VILLA, Bernice Maybelle

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 17, 1987, page 2-A Services were Saturday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Bernice Maybelle Villa, 77, of Wickenburg, who died Dec. 9 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. Dr. Bert Follmar of Calvary Baptist Church of Wickenburg officiated. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Villa was born Nov. 6, 1910 in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada to George H. Hill and Alta F. (Carroll) Hill. She was a retired cook and homemaker who had lived in Arizona for 43 years, moving to Arizona in 1944 from Blythe, California. She married Raymond T. Villa in Wickenburg in 1944. Survivors include her husband of 43 years; a sister, Lorene Madril, of Sandy Valley, Nev.; three sons, John A. Sapwell of Sunnyvale, Calif.; Gary Sapwell of Wickenburg, and Arnold Sapwell of Phoenix; two daughters, Margaret (Peggy) Cramer of Wickenburg, and Linda Villa of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
