GOULET, Leo Lloyd


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Wednesday, November 28, 2007 - Leo Lloyd Goulet, 80, passed away at his home on Nov. 20, 2007. Leo and Bernice moved to Lake Havasu City in 2000. Leo was born in Red Lake Falls, Minn., June 1, 1927 to Theo and Laura Goulet. Leo had a brother Lawrence and a sister Lorraine. Leo married Bernice Knutson on Oct. 30, 1954. He served in the Army and was stationed in Fort Knox, Ky., where his daughter Susan was born. They moved back to Thief River Falls, Minn.,where the family settled, and daughter Julie was born. While at Thief River, Leo worked for Bridgeman Creamery. In January of 1967 the family moved to Federal Way, Wash., where they lived for several years and son Marc arrived. The family moved to Auburn, Wash., and he went to work for Boeing and then for Supreme Dairy until he retired in 1992. One of the many things Leo loved to do was to go camping with family and friends, riding his quad and playing and spending time with his grandchildren. Leo and Bernice are members of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Leo is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Bernice; daughters, Susan (Alan), Julie (Tom); son Marc (Heather); grandchildren Courtney, Nick, Kelsey, Johnathan, Bailee and namesake Little Leo; and one great-grandson Tanner. There will be a celebration of life on Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. at Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu. Arrangemts were entrusted to Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory.
