Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Wednesday, November 21, 2007 - Helen Lucile Holloway, 88, passed in her sleep Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007. She was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Decatur, Ill., to Arthur and Lucile Bentz. Her stepfather, Rube E. Liberty, adopted her later in her childhood. Raised in Missouri, she later moved to California to raise her family with her husband, Lonny Holloway. They retired to Lake Havasu City in 1976 to further enjoy a lifestyle that included water-skiing and boating. Helen is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Loren Liberty and Clarence Bentz; and her children Robert Holloway and Joy Camarena. She is survived by her son-in-law, Joe Camarena; her grandchildren, Cathi (Steve) Crouch, Pati (Dan) Gilbank, Gina Sebastian, Tammy Ritchie, Daniel Camarena; and her great grandchildren Jordan Christian, Caysie Gilbank, Nicolas and Faith Ritchie. While short in stature, Helen always had a big warm smile and a twinkle in her eye to share with family and friends. 'Lil Granny Good Witch' will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A private memorial service for family will be held in Sedona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Child Enrichment Fund of Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department at 145 N. Lake Havasu Avenue, Lake Havasu, AZ 86403.
