WEGER, Leo Anthony

Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, September 25, 2008 Leo Anthony Weger was born on Oct. 10, 1949, in Pryor, Okla., to Eshmael and Dorothy Weger. He died on Sept. 18, 2008, after a two-year illness, while under the loving and compassionate care of the doctors and nursing staff of the Hospice Unit in the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. Leo was the beloved husband of Cymbre, father of Leola (DJ) Johnson and Lena Weger, and grandfather of Layla, Vernica, Joseph and Lukus Johnson and Natasha and Zeth Weger. Leo was a very handsome man with a beautiful heart and soul. A former Vietnam veteran and long-distance trucker, he truly enjoyed his retirement years just watching his gigantic television, playing his keyboard and driving his PT Cruiser. His happiest place was sitting on the front porch with Cymbre and his dog, Jack, just watching the world go by. There will never be another Leo Anthony Weger. He will be so missed. The angels in Heaven are in for a wild ride. Good night, sweet prince – ’til we meet again. Services at the Prescott Veteran’s cemetery are pending. Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the services. Information provided by survivors.
