Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, September 26, 2008 Jewell Meredith Mrs. Meredith, Mom went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 6:10 p.m. She was 85. Jewell was at peace during this swift event at home. She will rest with her husband, Doyle Meredith, in the National Cemetery in Phoenix. The physical internment will be private this week. Family and friends are invited to meet Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, to hold hands and each other with stories of her and joy in celebration of Mom’s life. We will meet at noon at the National Cemetery and dress will be casual. It will be fine if you are unable to attend, you know how Mom was, easy to get along with and smiled a lot. Jewell is survived by her son Doyle C. Meredith, Jr., and grandchildren, Richard L. Meredith, Jenessa D. Meredith De Groot and Doyle C. Meredith, III. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter, 225 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz., 86301 in Jewell Meredith’s name. For those who can attend, a celebration gathering will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at home. Information provided by survivors.
