Larry Webert passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in Las Vegas. His death was due to complications following heart bypass surgery. He was born Sept. 20, 1944, to Elmer and Gertrude (Kramer) Webert in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
Larry worked for l8 years as an environmental health registered sanitarian for the Mohave County Health Department in the Lake Havasu City office. He retired as the supervisor of the Lake Havasu office in June 2005. Prior to his career as a registered sanitarian, he owned and operated Larry's Tap in Belle Plaine for 10 years.
Larry, his wife Karm, and family moved to Lake Havasu City 23 years ago from Belle Plaine. He loved Iowa and the outdoors. His hobbies included camping, fishing and watching sports, especially football and baseball, on TV. He enjoyed visiting his children and friends. He enjoyed having lunch with his office friends on a regular basis.
Larry is survived by his wife, Karm; his daughter, Amy of Queen Creek; his son, Jeff of Lake Havasu City; brother-in-law, Eldo Burington; nephews, Steven (Heather) Burington and daughters, Devin and Haley, and Todd Burington; sister-in-law, M. Kathleen Fisher; brother-in-law, Keith (Jo) Fisher and nephews, Kevin and Daniel; and a niece, Kathy Jo, and their families of Iowa. There are several aunts, uncles, and cousins who survive him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Gertrude, father Elmer, sister Joyce, and his father and mother-in-law Clarence and Mildred Fisher, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service is planned for Larry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, at St. Michaels United Methodist Church, 2895 Jamaica Blvd S., Lake Havasu City.
