Clark, age 59, a 16-year resident of Fort Mohave, Ariz., died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, while visiting family in Modesto, California. He was born in Modesto, Calif., on June 18, 1951. As a young man, he moved to Arizona to live and work on the Bar SS Ranch with family friends, Bob and Pat Whitehead. He graduated from Valley Union High School in 1969, and earned his AA degree in Criminal Justice from Cochise Community College. He became a police officer for the City of Douglas in 1973, and during his law enforcement career, he worked with K9 officers, and was a motorcycle officer specializing in traffic and accident reconstruction. In 1994, he moved to Fort Mohave, Ariz., where he lived until the present time. While in Fort Mohave, he worked security for the Golden Nugget and Flamingo casinos in Laughlin, Nev., and most recently was a driver for Statewide Express. Rick was known for his kindness, outgoing personality, sense of humor and devoted friendship. He will be greatly missed by those he left behind. Rick was preceded in death by his father, James D. Clark of Modesto. He is survived by his wife, Rosann, of Fort Mohave; his daughter Wendy Diaz and son-in-law, Marco Diaz and their three grandchildren, Alonso, Marco, Jr., Alexandrina and Moises of Tucson, Ariz; his mother and step-father, JoAnne and Virgil Hitts of Modesto; two sisters Cindy Pergerson and Lisa Anderson of Oregon; and his beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends scattered across the country. Services will be private.
