BRANDON, Johnny Alvin

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, January 01, 2011 Johnny Alvin Brandon, 54, of Dewey, Ariz., passed away Dec. 10, 2010. He was born to John and Alta Brandon on June 10, 1956, in Phoenix, Ariz., where he grew up with his four siblings. Johnny was a heavy equipment operator by trade, but in his heart he was a cowboy. He spent all of his free time team roping and riding and enjoyed turning all of those around him into "cowboys" themselves. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John, and his stepson, Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his mother, Alta; siblings Sharon Wallace, Shirley Frame, Carol Tackett and Donald Brandon; children Jimmy, Cody, Sarah, Jason and Clayton; stepchildren Kim Thurman, Kami Pruitt and April Brown; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Johnny will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post located at 3301 North Highway 69, Humboldt, Ariz.
