METZ, Prudence Ann

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, January 01, 2011 Prudence Ann Metz, 81, passed away on Dec. 23, 2010, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Holbrook, Ariz., to Joseph and Stella (Candelaria) Springer. Prudence attended Phoenix Union High School. She made a career as a clerk typist and in food service. She spent 24 years working for the U.S. Air Force with her husband until her retirement in 1985. She was fascinated with genealogy and her family history. Prudence is survived by her sons, Michael A. Metz of Prescott, Ariz., Phillip W. Metz of Tacoma, Wash., and Floyd Douglas Metz of Olympia, Wash.; and grandchildren Michael J. Metz of San Jose, Calif., Merry Postemski of Florence, Vt., Ashley Gray of Richland, Wash., and Alexandra Smith of Centralia, Wash. Per the family's request, no services are scheduled at this time. The family suggests that donations be made in Prudence's name to The Marley House, c/o Good Samaritan Hospice, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
