SCHIPULL, David A.

David A. Schipull of Phoenix, AZ, passed away at the age of 57 on July 3rd, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 1, 1952 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He grew up on the family farm in Goldfield and graduated from the Goldfield Schools in 1970. He graduated from Wayne State College in Nebraska, in 1974 with his teaching degree and received his Masters Degree in Special Education from Northwest Missouri State in 1978. He was married to his former wife Marilyn Brailey in 1979 and went on to teach special education in Iowa, Nebraska and Colorado. They moved to Arizona in 1984, and he worked as Superintendent of Golf Courses at Sun Lakes, Arizona. Certified in Turf Management, he went on to be Sales Consultant in Turf Management for golf courses and landscape companies with Lesco and John Deere Landscapes. His survivors are his Son Andrew (Shannon), grandsons Tristan and Evan of Portland OR, his Mother Kristine of Goldfield, IA, his Brother Dean (Jayne) two Nieces Stacy and Cassie of Goldfield, IA, his Sister Koleen of Phoenix, AZ, his Uncle Stanley Schipull (Donna) of Clarion, IA., Aunts Thelma Lester (Kenneth) of New Hampton, IA, Elizabeth Azinger (Roy) of Mesa, AZ., and many cousins. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and co-workers. Preceding him in death are his Father Donald Schipull, Grandparents John and Beulah Schipull, Tom and Madli Wetterhus, Uncle Loren Schipull and Aunt Marjorie Schipull . A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at the Goldfield United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:00am.
