Evelyn Swinney died Feb. 23, 2008, in Chandler. She was born Nov. 4, 1932, in Amarillo, Texas.
Evelyn retired to Show Low in 1992 after a career as a legal secretary in the Phoenix area. She was a member of White Mountain Bible Church and the Red Hat Society. She loved dogs and often visited the Show Low dog park with her Jack Russell terrier, Daisy.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Huizingh, son-in-law Dale Huizingh and granddaughter Amy Huizingh.
Her husband, Cecil Swinney, sister Dorothy Ryan and brother Paul Davidson preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at White Mountain Bible Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 2. Internment will be at Green Acres in Scottsdale. Contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix.
