Edgar (Ed) Franklin Calvin Lewis died Feb. 22, 2008, at the RTA Hospice in Lakeside.
He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Robert and Pearl Lewis.
His family moved to Taylor in 1936 where he attended and graduated from Snowflake High School. The family then moved to Lakeside where he met his wife of 67 years.
In 1941, Ed and his wife, Phyllis Kay, moved to Phoenix. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII, they returned to Phoenix where he worked for Arizona Public Service for 31 years.
After retirement they came back to Lakeside, where they have lived for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; three children, Edgar B. of Scottsdale, Kay (Wayne) Wood of Sun City and Susan (Ricky) Smith of Hempstead, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
