Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, October 3, 2008 Helen Lucille Carter, 87, of Continental, Ohio, died Sept. 24, 2008, at The Gardens of Paulding. She was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Kieferville, Ohio, to the late Sheldon and Esther (Norman) Castle. On April 3, 1943, she married Houston Carter, who died June 23, 1968. Surviving are one son, Gary Carter of Prescott, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Angela Riddle of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sisters, Doris Christel of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Jane Elston of Paulding, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Pat Wollam of Continental, Ohio. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Helen retired as a licensed practical nurse. She had been a member of the Free Methodist Church in Continental, Ohio. A memorial service took place Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home in Continental, Ohio. Information provided by survivors.
