Thomasita Alderette Martinez, 86, died Feb. 26, 2008, in Lakeside at RTA Hospice.
A resident of Reserve, N.M., she was born March 7, 1921, in Horse Springs, N.M., to Placido Alderette and Fransisquita Naranjo.
Thomasita was a homemaker. She was a loving grandmother who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Alex Martinez of Reserve, N.M.; sons Alex Jr. and Lynette Martinez of Grants, N.M; Henry and Lori Martinez of Reserve, N.M.; daughters Ernestina Trujillo of Las Cruces, N.M., Lillie and Ben Hill of Springerville, Dulcie and Morris Trujillo of Silver City, N.M.; 28 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Inez Baca of Lakeside.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Paul Trujillo; two grandchildren, Missy Martinez and Randy Trujillo; three sisters; and four brothers.
A rosary was held Friday, Feb. 29, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Reserve, N.M. A funeral Mass was held Saturday, March 1, also at St. Francis Catholic.
