KESTERSON, Lonn Eric (Lonnie)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, January 02, 2011 Lonn Eric "Lonnie" Kesterson, 50, of Williams, died Dec. 19, 2010, at Flagstaff Medical Center following a valiant fight against cancer. Mr. Kesterson was a loving and loyal husband, brother, friend and one of those everyday heroes whose lives often go unsung but those who knew him will never forget. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 15, 1960. He loved his wife, Janet, their house on the mountain, their dogs, the animals of the forest and his work. Mr. Kesterson found his calling as a heavy equipment operator for the city of Flagstaff. He and the crew from the city of Flagstaff paved the way for public works projects in the good weather and plowed snowbound streets in the winter. As a firefighter and member of High Country Fire and Rescue, he helped save property and lives. He is survived by his wife, Janet; brothers Ed (Sue) of Tucson and Roger (Rhonda) of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle, and mother Kay (Rogers). Services were privately held. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
