Donna Jean O'Neill, a beautiful lady with a heart of pure gold, died Jan. 14, 2008. Donna was born in St. Paul, Minn., Sept. 3, 1946, to Howard J. Madison and the former Ada Mae Rodecker.
She attended school at McCarons Lake grade school and graduated from Alexander Ramsey High. She was formerly married to Brian O'Neill of Scottsdale.
Donna worked as a flight attendant and safety instructor with United Airlines for six years. She also worked for years as one of the best make-up artists in the Valley at Goldwaters I. Magnin and Phoenix Hair. She served as make-up consultant to various plastic surgeons and for Behavorial Medicine Associates in teaching physically handicapped persons adaptive make-up procedures.
She had an unshakeable love of animals, particularly golden retrievers. Her retrievers were her passion.
Donna leaves behind a wealth of friends and three loving sisters, Barbara Fletcher of Cave Creek, Linda Nordby of Phoenix and Janet Mirva of Maplewood, Minn.
This beautiful talented lady always saw the best in people and was a pure joy to be around. All those who knew and loved her now have an emptiness.
Services will be held at Owens Mortuary in Show Low Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 1:30 p.m. Anyone desiring to make a donation can do so at the Arizona Humane Society.
