Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 7, 1988, page 2-A Services were Tuesday at the Yarnell Community Church in Yarnell for Homer Davis Smith, 91, of Yarnell, who died Jan. 1 in Puerto Penasco, Sonora Mexico. Pastor San Weinschenk officiated. Burial followed at Genung Memorial Park in Peeples Valley. Mr. Smith was born Oct. 25, 1896 in Scotland, Ill. He had lived in Arizona 58 years, moving to the state in 1929 as an architect. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Florence C. Smith, of Yarnell; two daughters, Glodyne Smith Cowley of Payson, and Charlotte Smith Webb of Phoenix; a sister, Phyllis Glithero of Linda Vista, Calif.; three granddaughters; and eight great-granddaughters. All arrangements were by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
