Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 21, 1988, page 2-A Services were Tuesday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Berlie Vincent Christian, 83, of Wickenburg, who died Jan. 16 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. The Rev. Delbert Henderson officiated, and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Christian was born March 6, 1904 in Hawkins County, Tenn., to Francis and Candace (Cavin) Christian. He had lived in Arizona for 32 years, moving to Wickenburg in 1966 from Delaware, Ohio. He was retired from Tecumseh Products of Marion, Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife, Neva, of Wickenburg; two daughters, Mildred Birchfield of Wickenburg and Shirley Ray of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Laverne Christian of Delaware, Ohio; a stepson, Charles Steele of Mesa; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
