Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Eagle Eye Cemetery in Aguila for William A. “Shorty” Conner, 88, of Aguila, who died Feb. 26 in the Wickenburg Nursing Home.
Rev. Delbert Henderson of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg will officiate.
Mr. Conner was born Aug. 1, 1907 in Weleetka, Okla. He had lived in Arizona for 41 years.
He farmed while living in Oklahoma before moving to Aguila in 1947. After moving to Arizona he was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad, working 22 years before retiring.
He is survived by wife, Cleo, of Aguila; five daughters, Lilly Bryant, Willig Sims and Shirley Thomas, all of Los Angeles, Mary Freeney of Phoenix, and Jewel Conner of Aguila; three sons, Tommy Conner of Iron City, Ga., Jimmie Conner of Los Angeles, and Linard Conner of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
All arrangements were by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
