BRALLIAR, Floyd Boynton (Dr.)


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 21, 1988, page 2 Mass was said Monday, followed by memorial service, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for Dr. Floyd Boynton Bralliar, 81, of Wickenburg, who died April 15 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. Fr. Thomas E. Boyle officiated, with burial following at Wickenburg Cemetery, officiated by the Masonic Lodge of Wickenburg. Mr. Bralliar was born Oct. 25, 1906 in Stuart, Iowa, and had lived in Arizona for 53 years. He began his medical practice in Wickenburg in 1936, after interning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix for one year. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School. He was married in 1943 to the former Marcella Wuersch, who preceded him in death in 1984. Dr. Bralliar was a member of the Maricopa County, State of Arizona and American Medical Association. He was a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the International Academy of Proctology, and was a member of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons, the Prolotheraphy Association, American Association of Railway Surgeons, American Surgeons and Physicians, and the Pan-pacific Surgical Congress. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner, and was a charter member of the Wickenburg Rotary Club. Survivors include three sons, John, of Lomita, Calif., Lawrence of Phoenix, and Dr. Thomas of Shaker Heights, Ohio; one brother, Maj. General (ret.) Max B. Bralliar, M.D., former Surgeon General of the U.S. Air Force; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Contributions may be made to the Wickenburg Community Hospital.
