YOUNGKIN, Earl


Earl Youngkin, formerly of Kellogg, Iowa, and Mesa, Ariz., died on Sept. 26, 2010, in Santa Barbara, Calif. He was the oldest son born to Hallie and Elva Youngkin on Oct. 26, 1924. He graduated from Kellogg High School and was married to Helen Anderson. They had two children, David and Joyce. They moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1961. In February 2010, he moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., to be with his daughter, Joyce (John) Burchette. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; son; two brothers, Robert Youngkin and Donald Youngkin; a sister, Bonnie Williams; and three brothers-in-law. Surviving are his daughter; three grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine (Ray) Anderson of Healdsburg and Maxine (Harry) Atwood of Newton, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Youngkin of Ballwin, Mo., and Crystal Webb of Kellogg, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews; and many friends in Iowa and Arizona.
