GIACCHINO, Dora Sara (Dory)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Tuesday, January 04, 2011 Dora Sara Giacchino, 86, of Flagstaff, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010. Born Aug. 15, 1924, to parents who had immigrated from Italy to Buenos Aires, Ms. Giacchino moved to New York City in 1952, and to Flagstaff in 1982. She worked as a keypunch instructor in Buenos Aires, and enjoyed cooking, caring for children, good conversation, gardening, sewing, arts, keeping up with current affairs, her pets and living in Flagstaff. Ms. Giacchino, also known as "Dory," is survived by her daughter, Sylvan. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and her husband, Eliseo Barrios of Flagstaff. A celebration of Ms. Giacchino's life will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Thorpe Park Community and Senior Center. Any donations made in her name should be sent to the senior center.
