WACKER, Charles Moody


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 4, 2011 Charles Moody Wacker died Dec. 26, 2010. Charley enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1962 where he served in the Vietnam War and in the Special Forces and was a Green Beret. He was honorably discharged in 1967 and immediately enlisted in the Air Force where he served an additional two years and was honorably discharged. Charley lived in Colorado several years and met the love of his life Cathy while residing there. They moved to Snowflake. It was there he was living his dream at the Rocking CW Ranch. Charley was one of the last true cowboys. He loved horseback and trail riding. He was the true "Horse Whisperer" and truly enjoyed out door living. A special thanks to his loving sister Debi and her husband Henry Walker who was by Charley's side till the end. "Words cannot express the love and appreciation that Charley and Cathy had for you." Charley is survived by his loving wife of four years; two step sons: Boddie and Tyson of Arizona; and his parents Louis Wacker Sr. and Lorine Wacker both from Alabama. Private services will be held.
