YOST, Mildred Marie

Onawa Democrat - Onawa, Iowa 18 June 1992 Mildred Marie Stannard Yost, 85, passed on Saturday, June 6, 1992 in the Life Care Centre of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Mildred was born to Gertrude and Hugh Stannard in Tullvania, Missouri on December 28, 1906. She graduated with a B.S. from the University of Nebraska. She married Clyde S. Yost on June 3, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Clyde and Mildred moved to Sierra Vista 12 years ago after living many years in Onawa, Iowa and San Diego, Cal. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, a Community Center volunteer and an AARP volunteer. She was preceded in death by Clyde in 1990. She is survived by a daughter. Susan Stilwell and two grandsons, Michael and Shane, all of Sierra Vista. She also has a sister, Annabelle Althouse of Eagle, Ne. The memorial service was at the Sierra Vista United Methodist Church on June 11 with Rev. Charles Stilwell officiating. Many good friends and family gathered to remember her and to thank God for her life among them.
