Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 26, 1988, page 2-A Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Wickenburg funeral Home for John G. Morgan, 66, of Wickenburg. Dr. Wm. Howard Mackey will officiate, with burial to follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Morgan died at his home in Wickenburg on May 22. He was born in Robertsdale, Pa., and moved to Canton, Ohio, in 1938. He owned and operated Stebbins Business Machines for many years before retiring and moving to Wickenburg several years ago. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of World War II, serving three years in the U.S. Navy. He served in the South Pacific as a Machinist’s Mate, Second Class. He was a 32nd degree Mason of 32 years in Lodge No. 60 of Canton, Ohio, and also belonged to Tedmore Temple Shriners in Akron, Ohio. A member of Perry Christian Church in Canton, he served 40 years at First Christian Church as a deacon and elder. He also served 10 years as a lifeguard and camp steward for the church youth camp, “Erieside”. For the past two years, he managed the office of Craig Motor Crafts for his daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Peggy Craig. Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Peg),; a daughter, Peggy, of Wickenburg; two sisters, Alverta Strasser of Oceanside, Calif., and June Cain, of Millerburg, Ohio; four brothers, Dexter, of Jackson, Mich., and Frank, Jess and Willard, all of Canton; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
