OLEA, Wilma Elizabeth


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 4, 1988, page 2 Services were Friday, July 29, at the Wickenburg LDS Church for Wilma Elizabeth Olea, 84, of Salome, who died July 26 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. Larry Leach officiated, with burial following in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Olea was born July 1, 1904 in St. David, and was a lifelong resident of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, “Ted” Olea, and two brothers and one sister. She was a member of the LDS Church of Wenden, and a member of the Vi-Sa-Wen Women’s Club. She was a retire teacher who served as head teacher of Salome School before her retirement. Mrs. Olea’s parents were pioneers to Arizona, settling in St. David before the turn of the century. Survivors include five sisters, Delsa Gunter of Hamilton, Calif.; Varna Anderson of Tucson; Helena Judd of St. David; Berna Smith of Buena Park, Calif.; and Mabel Harlan of Tucson. Arrangements were by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
