The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 04, 2011 Betty Louise Haymore Frisbie Horner A longtime resident of Prescott, Ariz., Betty Louise Haymore Frisbie Horner, 76, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011. She was the first born of Douglas Scott and Hortense Nebeker Haymore. "Betty the Bookkeeper" loved life. Throughout the years, her clients depended on her knowledge, integrity and good humor to get them through tax time. She was a hockey fan, and loved to fish and travel. She appreciated the talents of others and attended concerts and performances when they came to town. She went to France with her grandson Preston when he raced in the World Mountain Bike Race. Although Betty was a very private person, she cared deeply for her family and friends. She was a tireless worker and great supporter of others. She had a ready smile that warmed our hearts. She was source of strength to us all. Betty worked for Windermere Real Estate, Scott K. Helfinstine Certified Public Accountant, Gary Bulechek CPA in Phoenix, City of Prescott, bookkeeper for the military when her husband was stationed in Alaska, and worked many years for her Dad at Haymore Dairy and Doug's Jersey Dairy. She was a former 4th of July Rodeo Queen and was the first to use a fire baton in the Prescott parades. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions throughout the years. Betty is survived by her daughter, Electra Louise Frisbie (Scott) Van Eckhoutte; three grandsons; one sister-in-law; five sisters; eight brothers; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and stepchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Irwin Frisbie, and her son Michael Eugene Frisbie, as well as her parents Douglas and Hortense Haymore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's name to American Cancer Society (Pancreatic Research), 2724 E. Lakin Drive # 9, Flagstaff, AZ 86004-3900. A memorial service will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Ruth St., Prescott, Ariz. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. A private burial will take place at the Pioneer Home Cemetery located on Iron Springs Road in Prescott.
