Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Tuesday, January 4, 2011 - Edward S. “Eddie” Nash Jr. passed away New Year’s Day at the age of 89. He was born to Edward and Ruth Nash on April 14, 1921, in Chicago, Ill. Eddie started his career as an engineer for Motorola in Chicago. He later transferred to Minnesota to work for Dahlberg Electronics where he played a large role in the development of Miracle Ear. He served in a variety of positions including president for Dahlberg Electronics. Eddie was a sales consultant for Miracle Ear here in Lake Havasu City for 15 years. He loved to golf, fish and take family vacations. As a member of the Elks, he loved to socialize with the Jet Set of Havasu. This is where he met his companion of several years, Trelba Eastenson, who passed away in 2004. Eddie leaves behind his beloved family, son, Edward S. (Nancy) Nash III; his son, Thomas H. (Melody) Nash; his daughter, Nancy Huttner; grandchildren, Scott Nash, Christopher Nash, Mathew Huttner, Kathrine (Chris) Otto, Emma Huttner; and great-grandchild, Kayli Otto. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne P. Nash, who passed in December of 1997. He cherished his family and they loved him very much. Everyone loved Eddie; he was just a happy guy. A memorial service will take place Thursday, 2 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Pastor Mel Soderberg will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
