The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 5, 2008 Sue Lamb, 72, of Safford died Jan. 31, 2008, at Mount Graham Regional Medical Center after a seven-year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral will follow at 10 a.m., with Joe Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Ms. Lamb was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., and was a daughter of Deward and Inez Bonner. She graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in 1954 and then was asked to try out for a professional softball team. She worked for Pinal County government as a clerk before retirement. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Luna of Safford; two sons, Tim Lamb of Show Low and Mark Lamb of Taylor; a brother, Dean Bonner of Mesa; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Cude, and a grandson, Ramsey Tipton.
