The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 5, 2008 Paul F. Murphy, 74, of Show Low died Jan. 25, 2008. He was born to Ralph Francis and Ethel Reilly Murphy April 24, 1933, in Cleveland Ohio. Paul was one of six children born to his parents. He was a lifelong Catholic and married Doris Bates July 4, 1970, in Huntington Beach, Calif. They had a blended family of eight children, four boys: Michael Murphy of North Carolina, Mark Murphy of Rio Rancho, N.M., Larry Daniels of Show Low and Mikel Daniels of Sun City, Calif., and four girls: Maureen Wildauer of Redding, Calif., Mary Lou Corey of Hemet, Calif., Marcia Murphy of Redding, Calif., and Mary Krugjohn of Canyon Lake, Calif. They also had 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. During Paul's life he lived in Anaheim, Canyon Lake and Sun City, Calif., and Show Low. He was a member of the Lions' and Elks' clubs. He loved to play golf. In addition to his children, Paul is survived by one brother, George Murphy of Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters, Janet Murphy of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Marilyn Murphy of Rochester, Ind., and Eileen Shultz of El Camino Village, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ethel Murphy; brother Jack Murphy and sister Marilyn Murphy. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Paul's name, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.Arrangements have been made by Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor.
