ARBOGAST, H. Bud


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 8, 2008 H. Bud Arbogast, 63, of Show Low died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, in Phoenix. Bud was born Jan. 8, 1945, in Albuquerque, N.M. to Lyndon V. and Mary Irene (Ullstrom) Arbogast. Due to his father's work, he moved frequently with his family as a child. He had lived in Riverdale and Potsdam, N.Y., before graduating from Portage Mountain High School in Lewiston, N.Y., in 1962. He then entered the U.S. Navy, serving four years in Maryland. He married Christy Mae Johnson in January 1968. He settled in Mesa, where he lived several years, working as a draftsman and in city planning for the City of Mesa. He came to Show Low in 1982, where he did drafting and had a janitorial business, A&B Enterprises, retiring in January 2007. He was married to Valerie Brooks from 1985-1998. Bud was a devoted Harley-Davidson enthusiast and had rebuilt his own motorcycle. He was also a good carpenter and craftsman. Bud is survived by his daughters, Lora Irene Arbogast of Sparks, Nev., and Morgan Amber Arbogast of Show Low; son Kelly Arbogast of Phoenix; sisters, June Blackson of Tonapah and Mary Lynn Beydler of Mesa; brother David Arbogast of Knoxville, Iowa; grandchildren Cody, Harlee, Jordan, Mikaela and Damon Arbogast.
