Helen Spence McLachlan died Feb. 2, 2008, in Tremonton, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Douglas, Alaska, to Helen Adams and George McMillin.
Helen was raised in Miami. She married Robert Lendrum Ross McLachlan on April 18, 1936, in Miami. She was a devoted wife and mother to their two sons, Robert Lendrum and Benjamin Carl. They moved to California where they raised their sons.
Upon retirement they moved to Lakeside. Helen and Bob were happily married for 62 years. They enjoyed doing many activities together. Helen was active in Eastern Star, holding many offices, including Worthy Matron. Helen was also active in Daughters of the Nile and was past queen. She was also a volunteer at Navapache Regional Medical Center (now Summit Healthcare).
Helen loved sewing, making porcelain dolls and many other crafts and spending time with her family and friends. "We will always remember the fond memories we shared with you. We were truly blessed by your love and example. We will love you forever and miss you!"
Helen is survived by her sons, Robert (Marie) Lendrum of Tremonton, Utah, and Ben of Show Low; and seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Her parents, sisters, brother-in-laws and husband Robert preceded her in death.
Private graveside services will be held in Miami.
Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton, Utah, handled arrangements.
