MORRIS, Donald (Bud)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 8, 2008 Donald Morris "Bud" of Lakeside and Tucson died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. He was born March 26, 1923, on a farm outside of Altamont, Ill., to Vernie and Rochelle Morris, who predeceased him. Bud loved his family, his friends, hunting and fishing. He retired to Lakeside where he spent many happy years. His values are reflected in his children and grandchildren and proudly honor his memory. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Scotty," and children Mary (Bruce Hawk) of Tucson, Mike of Fairbanks, Alaska, Martha (Jeff) Atwater, and Mark (Veronica), also of Tucson; grandchildren Krystal (Elias) Fabrizio and Donald of Fairbanks, Alaska, Corey (U.S. Army, Seoul, South Korea), Nicholas, Kolby, Caitlin, Halle and Hannah of Tucson; great-grandson Vincent; brother Hillard (Betty) Morris of Altamont, Ill.; sister Betty Jean (Charles) Douglas of Tifton, Ga.; numerous nieces and nephews; uncle Derald (Daisy) Fulton; longtime business associates Clyde Buzzard, Howard Cooper and Vern Cowles and the many loyal employees and customers of over 50 years at Tucson's Lucky Wishbones, especially the Campbell and Oracle stores. Memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 5, in Tucson. In Bud's memory, his family suggests a donation to any chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.
