Henry C. Phipps Jr., 87, a native of Kingsport, Tenn., and resident of Show Low died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008.

Mr. Phipps, after serving in World War II, moved to Mobile, Ala., and later to Lake Forest in Daphne, Ala.

During his career he held several key sales positions with companies such as R.H. Hill Tobacco Company, Trail Pontiac and Grady Buick Inc.

He is survived by four children, Pamela Jo Fleming of Show Low, Henry C "Buddy" Phipps, Ill. of Fairhope, Ala., Delores Ann "Boots" Phipps of Mobile, Ala., and Ranette Loretta Phipps Babb of Loxley, Ala.; sister Mildred Martin of Kingsport, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, Ala. Interment will be in the Mobile Memorial Gardens.
