CARRICART, Cletus J. (Clay) *

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 11, 2008 Cletus J. "Clay" Carricart, 100, of Overgaard died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Mr. Carricart was born April 26, 1907, in Johannesburg, Calif., the son of John and Maria Carricart. He grew up in California and attended Villanova Prep in Ojai, Calif. During WW II, he worked for Johnson Controls in California, where he met his wife-to-be, Lois. They were married in 1944. Clay and Lois moved to Phoenix in 1951, where he worked for AiResearch until his retirement. Clay and Lois had five children, Sheila, Julie, Robert, Cindy and Tom. These children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive him. Services have been held. Arrangements were under the direction of Black's Mortuary in Show Low.
