TAYLOR, Donald Stearns, Jr.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 15, 2008 Donald Stearns Taylor Jr., 60, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside from lung cancer. Don was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Boston, Mass. to the late Donald S. Sr. and Virginia (Prentice) Taylor. Though he was born in Boston, he always considered himself a native of Lexington, Mass. because he was raised there. He moved to Arizona four months ago from Florida to be near his son. Throughout his life, Mr. Taylor worked as a technical engineer in the construction industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing. He was also blessed with a "green thumb" and could make anything grow in his extensive vegetable garden. However, if NASCAR racing was on TV you can bet that he was inside watching it! He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty" (Dasher) Taylor; daughter Lori Street (Christopher) of Kalispell, Mont.; three sons Don Taylor, III (Richelle) of Eagar, Jason Taylor (Karen) and Aaron Taylor (LaShauna) both of Bullhead City; brother Jack Taylor (Marcia) of Portsmouth, R.I.; sister Leslie Bellao of Winter Haven, Fla.; nine grandchildren and ine great-granddaughter. A memorial service for Don will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at The Chapel of Owens Mortuary, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
