Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 29, 1988, page 2 Graveside services are scheduled for 4 .m. Sunday at the Wickenburg Cemetery for Josephine Ross Courteen, 92, of Wickenburg. Fr. Dan Gerrard of St. Alban Episcopal Church will officiate. Mrs. Courteen died Sept. 25 in Wickenburg. She was born June 12, 1896 in Newburg, N.Y. She had lived for the past 35 years in Wickenburg, moving to the community from Milwaukee, Wisc. Mrs. Courteen was formerly the proprietor of the Kitchen Shop in Wickenburg. She was one of the founders and a longtime member of the Duplicate Bridge Club of Wickenburg. She was also a longtime member of Las Damas. Survivors include two daughters, Edith Courteen Hayman and Eileen Courteen Contin, both of Wickenburg; five grandchildren, Barbara Folwer Raber, Bartlett D. Fowler, Dallas C. Gant, Jr., Susan Gant Bjerke and Diana Contin; and four great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to a Wickenburg charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
