Curtis Warren, Sr., of Reynoldsville, W. Va., went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 24, 2010 following an extended illness. He was born on April 9, 1929 in Claypool, Ariz., a son to the late William Tilford Warren and Susan Warren.
He retired after serving 20 years in the US Army as a Medic. He served his country proudly in the Korean War. After retiring from the Army he worked in the security field as a security officer with Scott Lad and Alderson- Broaddus College.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Faye Jean (Grandstaff) Warren, of Reynoldsville; four children, Curtis Warren, II of Clarksburg, Juanita Warren of Fairmont, Susan Warren Walls of Clarksburg and Dave Tilford Warren of Atlantic City, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Becky Murphy, Ashely Antrobius, Shane Antrobius, Chris Warren, Jeremy Antrobius, Chelsea Antrobius, Michael Lyons, III and Justin Walls, whom he loved very much; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, two nephews and several in-laws.
Curtis just recently got a new pet dog (Casper), a white German shepherd, which he loved spending time with. He also enjoyed collecting coins.
Curtis was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St. in Clarksburg with Pastor Ralph Fouse presiding.
Interment followed at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell. Military Honors were accorded by Harrison Co. Honor Guard and Camp Dawson Honor Guard.
