Troy Roland Bennett, 40, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in Concho. He was born October 7, 1967, in Phoenix.

Troy was a gunnery sergeant for the U.S Marine Corps. He was a 20-year retiree from the Marines and a Desert Storm and Somalia veteran.

Troy is survived by his wife, Phaedra Hayes, of St. Johns; sons Zackary of Phoenix and Brandon and (Becki) of Ogden, Utah; daughters Shannon, Jessica and Jennifer of St. Johns; and parents Tari and Mario Poletti of Blackfoot, Idaho.

Funeral services with military honors were held Monday, Jan. 21, at Burnham Mortuary in St. Johns with a visitation one hour prior.

Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled arrangements.
