HARVEY, Ivan Poncho


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 25, 2008 Ivan Poncho Harvey, 54, of Whiteriver died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in Whiteriver. Ivan was born Nov. 7, 1953, in Whiteriver to Lydo and Ruby (Clark) Harvey. He was raised and attended school in Whiteriver, graduating from Alchesay High School in 1972. He received a bachelor's degree in auto mechanics. He had worked at FATCO for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and the guitar. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Harvey; his wife, Mary; four daughters, Monica of Phoenix and Misty, Alicia and Macie Harvey, all of Whiteriver; son Poncho Harvey of Whiteriver; two sisters, Rebecca Harvey and Glorianna Dayaye of Whiteriver; five brothers, Joe, Mike, David, William and Marty Harvey, all of Whiteriver. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Lawrence Harvey. A wake will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at his residence, 311 Smokey Lane in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Memorial Hall in Whiteriver. Burial will be at North Fork Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Mortuary in Show Low.
