WILLIAMS, Lavera M., 89, Mesa, Arizona, died December 22, 2007 in Mesa. Funeral services and burial were at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa.
Lavera M. Williams was born March 22, 1918 on a small farm near Humeston, Iowa. Lavera was the daughter of Oren and Ethel [Davidson] Williams. Lavera passed away on December 22, 2007 in Mesa, Arizona.
Lavera went to grammer school at Fairview Country School near Humeston, Iowa; completed school in Humeston, Iowa with graduation in 1936. Lavera worked in the banking business most of her life in Humeston, Leon and Des Moines, Iowa; Springfield, Missouri and Mesa, Arizona. She moved to Arizona in 1960 and retired from 20 years of service at Valley National Bank in Mesa in March 1980.
Preceding Lavera in death were her parents and her sister, Lucille Davis, Lavera is survived by her 3 brothers, Merwin Williams and wife Leona of Chariton, IA.; Richard Williams and wife, Marie of W. Melbourne, FL. and Wayne Williams and wife, Mary of Apache Junction, AZ.; 2 nephews, Bill Davis and wife, Betty of Gilbert, AZ. and Charles Williams of Glenwood, IA and 3 nieces, Reva [Williams] Houser and husband Scott of St. Johns, MI., Margie Sessums of Gilbert, AZ., and Elli (Eloise) Smith and husband, Craig of Mesa, AZ. and other family and friends. The Williams family are all former residents of Humeston, Iowa.
