Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona November 10, 1988, page 2-A Services were conducted in LaGrande, Ore., for Ivan H. Harsin, 75, who died Nov. 1 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. Mr. Harsin was a winter resident of Wickenburg who had been coming to the community for the past 15 years. He was born 1913 in Baker County, Ore. He worked 32 years for the Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 258 of LaGrande; The American Association of Retired Persons No. 245 of LaGrande; the Union Pacific Old Timers Club; and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of LaGrande. Survivors include his wife, Jean, of LaGrande; a daughter, Naomi Shiflett of LaGrande; two sons, Darwin of La Grande, and Harold, of Moses Lake, Wash; two sister, Helen Sheldon of Arvada, Colo., and Martha Magill of Pendleton, Ore.; a brother, Wayne, of Fort Grove, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Local arrangements were by Sun West Funeral Home of El Mirage.
