SURPRISE, Ariz. — Elfriede “Effie” B. Warner, 84, of Surprise, died Feb. 19, 2006 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded. She was born April 5, 1921, to Andreas and Wilma Matzen Bossen in Wyk auf Fohr, Germany. She married Norman C. Warner on Sept. 2, 1941, in Clinton. They lived in Clinton for many years before retiring to Phoenix in 1978. Survivors include two sons, Gary and Jim, both of Phoenix; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Norbert Bossen of Clinton. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern, Phoenix, AZ 85021, or to Alzheimer’s research.
