Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 8, 1988, page 2-A Graveside services were Nov. 28 at the Wickenburg Cemetery for Sara Young Fitzhugh, 86, of Wickenburg. The Rev. Leo McDaniels of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg officiated. Mrs. Fitzhugh died Nov. 26 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was born March 8, 1902 in Young, also known as Pleasant Valley. She was a lifelong resident of Arizona. Mrs. Fitzhugh was a graduate of Tempe Normal School, now Arizona State University, and was a school teacher. She later worked for the American Red Cross, and then served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include a brother, Frank Young, of Show Low; two sisters, Virginia Adams of Phoenix, and Lucille Corbet of Wickenburg; four nieces Ann Ray of Tempe, Sharon Waite of Lakeside, Kathleen Bird of Willard, Mo., and Virginia Walker of Mesa; and five nephews, Jim Corbet of Wickenburg, Leo Corbet of Phoenix, Chris Corbet of Yuma, Frank Corbet of Loma Linda, Calif., and Bill Adams of Paradise Valley. Arrangements were by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
