Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Friday, January 07, 2011 Zeannie C. Goldtooth, 73, of Tuba City, died Dec. 29, 2010, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Coppermine, to Elsie and Claw Begay. Her maternal clan was Towering House and paternal clan was Manygoats. Mrs. Goldtooth attended Tuba City Boarding School and also attended the five-year program at Chilocco Indian School. She worked at Tuba City Trading Post from 1968-83 and also Tuba City Navajo Westerner's before retiring. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by her family. She was a great homemaker who loved to sew and watch her favorite baseball team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. She was also a faithful member of Tuba City First Baptist Church. Mrs. Goldtooth is survived by daughters Arlinda Brown (Arnold) of Tuba City, Zelma Paddock of Tuba City, and Janice Bilagody (Clarence) of Rio Rancho, N.M.; son Orlando Goldtooth of Tuba City; stepchildren Allen Goldtooth (Evelyn) of Tuba City, Pearl Goldtooth of Tuba City, and Alvin Goldtooth (Mae) of Tuba City; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters Alice James of Coppermine, Thelma Begay of Page, Millie Brockie of Tuba City, Julia Collins (Kee) of Coppermine and Sally Whitehat (Pat) of Coppermine; and brother Robert Begay (Daisy) of Tuba City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Goldtooth; mother Elsie Begay; father Claw Begay; and brother Oze C. Begay. The family wishes to thank Dr. Joe Magee, her primary physician, Dr. Anagha Deshmukh, Ben Tanner ACU RN, Olinka Foster ICU RN, Kristy Kewenvouyouma ICU RN and Carissa James ICU RN, and Helano Souza PT at Tuba City Regional Health Care Corp. for their wonderful and compassionate care. A funeral service was held Jan. 1, 2011, at Tuba City First Baptist Church. Interment was at the family plot in Coppermine. Desert Memorial Funeral Home of Tuba City handled arrangements.
