Florence Etta (Hadley) (Heath) King, 91, died Dec. 25, 2010 in Eagar. She was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Bernie, Mo., the daughter of Virgil and Floy Hadley.
She was a homemaker and liked to sew and quilt. Florence made clothes for her children as well as other family members and friends. She did a lot of cooking for the logging crews, family and friends. Florence headed a quilting crew for her church for many years and they made many quilts to donate to those in need. She also made many quilts for her kids' families.
Florence is survived by her children and their spouses: Virgil (Connie) Heath, Albuquerque, N.M.; George (Sharon) Heath of Hatch; Ivan "Butch" (Della) King, Jemez Springs, N.M.; and Myrtle Heath (Henry) Geisler of Eagar; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Cody Geisler.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St. in Eagar.
