The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 6, 2009 Margie Anna Vicente Cheney died Oct. 29, 2009, in Mesa. She was born May 21, 2009, in Alamo, N.M. Margie was a member of the Canyon Day Church and choir. She loved her children, grandchildren and godchildren. She had a warm heart and never turned away anyone. She loved her godchildren and was a fighter to the end. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robinson Cheney Sr.; children Gracelynn Cheney, Robinson Cheney Jr, Jessica Cheney, Anna Cheney, Delila Alsenay, Kim Cosen, Elijah Cheney and Perlita Edwards; daughter-in-law Simone Cheney; son-in-law Monte Opah; grandchildren Damon and Dillon Cheney; godchildren Emilio Alatha, Tyisha Alekay, Samatha Declay, Andy Ody Jr. and Ray-Ray Ethelbah. She was preceded by grandparents, Apah and Juan Vicente; mother and father Lee and Anna Vicente and sister-in-law Kathren Vicente. She will be brought back to her residence in Cradleboard House No. 55 Friday, Nov. 6, for a two-night wake. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Canyon Day Miracle Church.
