STEEN, Marion (Pat) Scotten


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 3, 2009 Marion "Pat" Scotten Steen, 74, entered into rest Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in Phoenix. Pat devoted her life to her family and was an avid animal lover and had been known over the years to rescue and raise small animals, dogs and cats. She also had a lifelong love for horses and ponies and owned and raced quarter horses for many years. Pat drove one of the school busses for the Round Valley Unified School District for 14 years. She cherished the children that rode her bus and the friendships she developed among the other bus drivers and employees of the bus department. Pat will always be remembered for her feisty spirit and loved by her friends and family. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Margaret Klingensmith. Pat is survived by three daughters, Robin (Jeff) Norris of Chandler and sons, Joshua (wife Jessica who is expecting in 2010 and Hunter), Sunny Wiltbank of Casa Grande (husband Mike and sons Milo and James), Mikie "Steen" (and daughter Kayla) Walker of Chandler and son Allen (and wife Jennette and children Joey and Jillian) Hagan of Rawlins, Wyo.; and her two dogs, Jack and Cooper. She is also survived by cousins, Harold (Lori) Emmons III of Lansing, Mich., Carl Emmons of Vermont and Scotty Emmons of Albuquerque, N.M. A luncheon celebrating Pat's life will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Round Valley Unified School District Intermediate School Cafeteria, 165 S. Brown St. in Eagar (hosted by the Round Valley Unified School District Bus barn employees).
