NEWHALL, Derral Dean (Buddy)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 22, 2009 Derral Dean Newhall, also known as "Buddy," entered into rest Oct. 14, 2009, in Whiteriver. He was born Nov. 5, 1995, in Whiteriver. He will dearly be missed by his family, friends and relatives. Derral is remembered and loved by his father, Darrell Dean Newhall; mother Josette Way; brothers Bryan Way, Leonardo Way and RJ Nelee; sisters Leonora Declay and Laura Declay; nephews Malachi Antwone Newhall and Rydaz Bryan Way; uncles Leon Way, Eddie Way Sr., Wayland Way, Monical Way, Billy Mike Newhall Jr. and Lopez Newhall; aunts Consuela Newhall, Melissa Fall, Beverly Cheney, Gina Dalton, Barbara Tessler and Aliyah Susan; godparents Mike and Marylyn Fall; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by sister Josetta Lynn Newhall; brother Derrick Dalton; paternal grandparents Connie and Billy Mike Newhall Sr.; maternal grandparents Viola and Aslin Way Sr.; great-grandmother Lorena N. Manuel; auntie Dorsey Altaha and uncle Anslin Way Jr. A two-night wake started at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at his residence (Lifesaver No. 22) in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Fire on the Mountain Church in East Fork with Pastor Edmund Cosay officiating. Interment will be held at the R-14 Crossing Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
