KREUL, David Allen

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 8, 2009 David Allen Kreul died Sept. 16, 2009. He was born Oct. 20, 1953. He battled heart problems for five years by facing it head on each day. He seemed content in his last year. David was a truly honorable and generous man. His energy poured out in the service of helping people. He had various occupational degrees from real estate, certified Porsche mechanic to journeyman and electrician. An entrepreneur of small business, such as a towing company, owning several junk yards, interior and exterior decorating and genealogy location, among other things, brought about his talent for and knowledge to fix anything. He always gave all he had for God's people. His highest priority other than his sons was community service. His love for children was evident as he dressed up as Santa one year and rode his Harley in the local Christmas parade. He made a gas pump bookshelf to auction off at Concho School to raise money for "Hands Across the Border" program and restored gas pumps at RT's Black Bull for the auction held at its annual ride for Christmas child toy drive. He did research and found and received birth certificates and located missing people and put adopted folks in touch with biological parents. He planned cleanup groups for people who had tragic house fires and yard problems and he assembled and took a water truck to a local gospel fest in Concho to keep the dust down. He helped restore a building in Springerville so they could open a Women's Choice Pregnancy Center and collected wheelchairs for an overseas missionary program sponsored by Joni Ericson-Tada. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and son Phillip, mother Lorreta and two sisters and two brothers. "He passed on his legacy of knowledge, strength and love for animals. Our lives are easier and situations that arise are more manageable cause of all the things you taught us, Pops." (Phillipians 4:11-3) He was preceded in death by his beloved father Florian.
